Not fighting people...

But this does look like the makings of a WWIII

Its basically they can get about 1% of the population in the standing army. For short periods where intense fighting is on their territories they can probably go to 2% of the population in the standing army.

Then in the actual army you need about 80% who work in logistics, maintenance, administration, planning, etc.

So a country might have 100,000 troops deployed in an area. But can they keep them supplied, rotate them out, maintaining and repairing equipment, the whole administration, planning so they work effectively together.

China might be added. They might invade Taiwan in October when the weather is the most favorable

Ya China is the main factor for the allies determining how long these wars go on as well. Because Russia can't economically last in the war on its own. But China has money, technology and endless manufacturing.

Its like Ukraine would have collapsed economically in a few months, but with the West bankrolling them, and providing manufacturing and technology, Ukraine is fully in the fight.

Lol look how they’re portraying Putin

There will be no all out war. Neither side wants that, nor Russian side has any hope to keep up with the west.
There will only be more proxy conflicts.
Middle East will likely get very hot in the following years though.
Iran + shite allies vs Israel + certain Sunni states + US.
money, technology and endless manufacturing.
They have that as long as they can freely trade with the west.
Taiwan isn't worth crippling sanctions and asset seizure.
China wants money, not imperial glory.

It's going to be messy as fuck...

Good post. Ya I view China will provide Russia and Iran with money and dual use technology. Provide them with civilian stuff for their economies under sanctions.

For example say Russia needs an extra $100 billion for its economy. China is allowed to lend Russia money, and no one knows what the inter-bank accounts are anyways. Nobody is reviewing receipts between imports and exports between China and Russia or China and Iran and making sure they perfectly balance.

Its also difficult to tell with Iranian technology that is manufactured in Iran, if they might have gotten help from China in some of engineering/computer programming stuff. In other words China can provide significant backing to Russia and Iran without provoking a confrontation with the West.

China also has a big card to play then with the West. If the West really threatened China or sanctioned China hard, then China could fully get behind Russia and Iran.

'Its going to be a long war'.

@HyperVersager_4EVER

Its like the wars between Shias and Sunnis, that has been going on for over 1,000 years and they aren't any closer to resolving it.

The backbone of the anti-American side is china russia and Iran. That’s just not enough

at least they have nukes

It is though.

China, Russia are viewed and treated faviourably or put in other terms "prefered" trading partners in african countries(raw materials).

If the war gets brutal then China and Russia have access to african raw materials whilst the West will be denied access(enough "rebel" factions to constantly harass their mining activvities and logistics lines) even if they did attempt to simply use brute force to extract those resources.

Computer chips need some resources found only in Africa just for example. So thats what I mean. But of course if the West can defeat China , Russia really fast then yes it wont be enough. But war is tricky and very unpredictable so thats why I am saying this.

Thunder runs are quick and result in large territorial gains but holding that territory is a different story altogether. Ask the USA in Afghanistan, Somalia, Vietnam, Germans in USSR, British in France WW2 and so on etc etc etc.
