Discussion Should you get a 5/10 gf in highschool?

Now I have a younger cousin who's pretty good looking, but he can't get girls or something (I'm really not sure). He's in freshmen year and asked me whether he should ask out a 5/10 girl he's pretty close with. What should I tell him? Would a practice gf serve him well?
It's worth noting that although she's a 5/10 she has had like a couple of boyfriends by now. Some even Chad-tier.

It’s not so much about the girls opinion of him, some may see him some may not, but about his confidence and trust in his ability to attract a partner. Although honestly pre-selection is a thing.
