Should I get Left 4 Dead 2?

The game was recommended to me. I like zombies and first person shooters, so L4D2 looks like something I'd enjoy. But going by the gameplay footage I've seen, it seems like a multiplayer game with extremely linear level design, almost like a run and gun shooter.

It's ultra fun but Versus is probably only played by the giga tryhards or cheaters so stick to coop campaigns

Ok I got L4D2 a few hours ago. It's pretty fun so far. Been playing the single player campaign on easy mode. The levels are mostly "stay alive and make it to the exit" but I like how each "stage" is like an episode in a TV series. Finished the first 2 episodes and will start the 3rd in a bit.

The environments are really nice, but the game is way too chaotic and there's no time to appreciate the graphics.

Tried the multiplayer but I'm finding it hard to keep up. Also got kicked out of a couple of lobbies and I have no idea why.

Honestly I'm more surprised you haven't played it. It's one of those games people just get as soon as they can, especially if they just got into PC gaming. It's like CSGO, half life 2, or LOL in that regard.

Ppl are super experienced and want to play with ppl that got used to the game so they don't want to wait for new players to look around the map like old grandpas. Stick to SP till you get used to playing around the maps on normal/advanced. I wouldn't recommend easy or expert at first since they are too easy or too hard.

Been playing this a lot lately. Finished the main campaigns and currently playing the fan-made campaigns. Great stuff so far.
