Consensus is that 30 is a wizard, this has even been reflected in anime.
Seeking to cope with further upgrades for additional decades (or half-decades) I was pleased to learn of new handles: for example when I became 35 is when I upgraded from Wizard to Warlock.
As a long-time fan of Diablo 2 who mained the Necromancer, having this to look forward to at level 40 was cool, but I recently read the opening chapter to Slime Isekai, which includes a meme I don't remember noticing when I watched the anime.
This indicates that level 40 should be Sage and not Necromancer - I am inclined to defer to this since Slime Isekai was published in 2013 whereas I do not know when this "Extended Edition" was written, but I assume afterward.
I guess 45 is still free to be a "Lich" but honestly, going Sage>Lich>GreatSage doesn't make much sense to me - seems like Lich is like a final destination or something.
Perhaps instead of half-decade celebrations (seems like cope) going by decade makes more sense?
In that case Warlock/Necromancer/Lich instead of 35/40/45 could be classified as 60/70/80 ?
It better corresponds with the human lifespan too.
