The issue is that we are wired via natural selection and evolution to value sex. Our brains make us want these things because that means we reproduce. If we are able to use an artificial surrogate for sexual release and reproduction, we might be able to break free, over time via natural selection, from foids and even sexual validation all together. I believe our problems are due to wanting to fly, but having no wings. Our genetics do not meet that selection threshold of this particular environment, and thus we are doomed to rot and die.
