True, though you could say that you need pleasant experiences proportional to the suffering you've endured to at least "break even", and then start enjoying life at a surplus of happiness, like a dopamine replacement therapy.

Imagine the one controlling your life in the cruel Matrix world we live in decides to let you live the good life, suddenly women start finding you attractive, you get respect and acknowledgement... At first you'd be skeptical, but with time (months/years of an uphill trend) you'd start living the chad life... Assuming you become a chad today

I asked myself the same thing, ended up realising that no whore is enough for me to be happy. For the opposite gender to be of interest for me, would require at least similarities in what I like to do, otherwise the entire thing would be completely awkward and I would drop her.
