Scientifically, what is the reason us old cels can't enjoy video games or shit we did in our teens / 20s?

Anime and video games bore me and make me want to quit 30 minutes in. But when I was a teen or early 20s I loved that shit and found it easy to spend 20+ hours on steam.

Now everything just feels like a repeat / asset flip with the same storylines and slightly upgraded graphics.

Same shit with the news. Riots in big cities? Oh so it's like the 80s/90s all over again?

After constant use it burns out

You've grown out of it.

You need to hobbymaxx I guess.

Wish there was something to solve it.

Feel that's with everything in life what we do. We first pick up a hobby, then it gets boring after a while. It's the journey that's the most exciting. Same shit applies to relationships, people get bored of their partners and start cheating (although I will never know what's that like...).

the same reason why you wouldn't enjoy playing peek-a-boo

Have you tried drugs? Variation is key

When entertainment become your life it stop being entertainment.

maybe it will be good once again after you stop , try to rotate copes , detox from copes or just find new ones , best cope is to sleep :D

just find new games you can cope forever. it takes longer to find non-shit but if you find one or two you can cope weeks with it ngl :feelzez:

Your genes are screaming at you to have some kids and stuff like that. But sadly, we can't, and even if we could, we know how bad of a deal marriage is for men in 2020.

1) over stimulated the experience, thus you need to rest from doing anything that stimulates you for quite some time before you want to do them. Could do meditation to help you with this
2) you give up too easily nowadays, therefore it latches on to everything you do, meaning nothing seems worthy of doing
3) you screwed your entire body over, meaning that you more than likely need to fix your routine. The way you look after your body, even till old age, has more significance to how well you take to doing things

I'm not jabbing at you but these are more likely to be reasons for why most people are bored of things.

I kinda miss my 20s even though they were shit but it was godlike coping

I’m 19 and my copes have grown stale already

I think depression plays a role. I'm not on an oldcel, but sometimes it feels those things especially videogames are a chore now.

It's not even that I wouldn't have some level of fun doing it. It's been 2 years since I played videogames. I would do something and enjoy it at first. Then it would suddenly feel like a chore or something and I would completely drop the game.

@LiterallyASoyboy any advice for me?

The only genre of games where I still feel consistently interested since I was 10 is collectible card games.

You over indulged in copes. You need to rotate copes. I don’t even watch much anime because I don’t want to ruin my cope.

I only enjoy games when I’m high, it doesn’t matter what game it is just as long as my endorphins are running wild with the opioids I’ve ingested.

I was playing sim city 2000 in a complete nod out, I guess I wasn’t really playing it but in the end I did have a city.

Most older men end up playing golf

Ride around in cart, socialize, drink a beer

Takes 4 hours, at least, and away from their wife

And pretend that they're excercising

Stopped playing videogames as a teen and you know the reason.
Knowing there are adults out there playing it at their age, I think they're the master copers.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them. I wish I could trick my brain to do the same.

If you still find something fun you've sunk 10000s hours into there's something wrong with your brain.
If you play competitively or in a group it's a different story.
