I've looked up into experiences post mortem, most of them that I have heard don't state anything about seeing lights or the sort, in fact they remember nothing and describe it as a mere profound sleep session. None of this afterlife shit is anything more than a cope for boomers and normies who don't want to die yet, in the end humanity has always desired to attain immortality since they know that their life will be meaningless otherwise.
I believe that life is infinite. You pretty much just die and your soul gets reincarnated in a random body somewhere in a new galaxy/dimension whatever you wanna call it. (Source : Trust me bro and what I think really happens after we die)
Hah, I posted about Parnia here a couple of years ago. Him and other scientists attached to the the Human Conciousness Project have shown that seemingly there’s evidence conciousness exists after what we consider a biological death. It’s reproducible at this point. People triggered by potential metaphysical implications, which Parnia makes no claim of, are trying to suppress similar studies, JFL

Consciousness persisting in the short-term after death makes sense even in a materialistic metaphysic, if you think about it. Your brain is still connected to your organs after you're braindead. It could be such that there is minimal activity not traditionally detectable where your eyes and ears are still receiving data from stimuli. When your eyelids are closed and the room has the lights on everything looks like a white light, and hearing people's talk is straightforward i.e., the sound captured by your ear and minimally processed by your "dead" brain is still understood and stored.

Materialists being triggered and terrified by phenomena they can't explain and might consider "supernatural" is funny to me. There's much in reality that can't be explained or understood through the narrow confines and parameters of materialism. When a person's entire worldview and grounding of reality is based on that the simplest, immediately-unexplainable thing freaks them out. KEK

It would make sense, a lot of people say that when you die you'll just stop existing and everything will be just like before you were born, but they ignore the part how they got born in the first place. If you can be born once why couldn't it happen again. Then again it begs the question what is actually reborn, because its not like 'you' can be reborn and retain your memories and identity and such. I think Buddhism makes sense as in consciousness or the mind will be reborn again, but with a different vessel, and the defilements you carried with you will follow you in the next life. If you were greedy you'll be greedy in the next life too and the cycle continues until you break it with enlightenment.
