School Uniforms

I like school uniforms, though I'm not sure why. My exposure to anime, maybe, or just the aesthetics. I think they are definitely a good thing. Note I am not talking about the fetish, just school uniforms in general.

Uniforms are pretty common in Europe, but in the US, most schools don't require uniforms and have lax dress codes.

You guys think they are a good or bad thing?

They’re good in a way because they prevent rich kids from clothesmogging poor ones, as teenagers are possibly the most superficial demographic, surely levelling of the playing field is a good thing.

I always found it difficult/ stressful to pick out my own clothes in middle school. Never dressed “right”/ didn’t have that many clothes and kids were always sure to let me know. When I went to a high school that had uniforms it was such a relief that I didn’t have to agonize about chosing “cool” clothes. I liked that I could just wake up and wear the same thing as everyone else. Definitely helped level the playing field and it was nice to have one less thing to get ridiculed for.

In the UK, maybe. But in Europe in general i don't think so. At least not here in italy.
