Funny the two teachers that actually liked me were English teachers, the one I had in the 11th and 12th grade liked me, and the one in the first semester of uni. We had a class about synonyms. And we were reading examples from a book and had to decide which synonym was the politest. It came to my turn and the synonyms were for being over weight. I was fat at the time. Some kid started laughing at the coincidence. Then our female teacher started laughing.
