Schizophrenic Morality

I was thinking about this in relation to disarmament and the prohibition of violence, the total monopoly of violence by the state.

Modern, positivist morality has reached such an abstract and schizophrenic point that it has begun to prohibit the most essential aspects of human existence.

The consequence of the complication of society and reduction of the individual is a lack of concern for reality and a focus on abstract principles of justice.

Abstraction enables civilisation. We dont know where our food comes from, we only know the abstarction of working to get money to buy the packaged food. The seperation from the actual processes that enable us to live our modern lives is the only way we can acheive the economies of scale that enable us to live in the first place. If everyone had to be involved in "reality" as you say, we would never build up this pyramid scheme that we live in.

As population grows and civilisation expands, the value of humans on the individual level must go down. There cannot be civilisational advancement without reducing human worth. Even a hypothetical utopia would ostensibly replace humans, thus completely eliminate human worth.

I think self defense is higher than the right to say what you want.

All animals have the natural right and personal duty to self defense.
