As years and years pass, and history repeats itself, how does God stay silent for so long?

Is it patience or does he merely not even exist at all?

One of the main reasons I believe we are actually in hell itself (literally) is because it is godless here. There is no reply when we call out to him, so how do we know that we are not already in the deepest pits of hell?

Hell is described in the Bible as such:

Jesus describes hell as a place where people will "weep and gnash their teeth" in anguish and regret.

A place of isolation

The Bible says that those who will occupy hell are those who avoided contact with God.

A place of darkness

Jesus describes hell as a place of "outer darkness" where all the joys of light are withdrawn, and all the fears of darkness are multiplied. Peter writes that "blackest darkness is reserved" for those who are "trained in covetous practices".

Sounds like it paints a picture very similarly to our own, does it not?

I just wish we were all told that everything's gonna be okay. I wish for reassurance in a cold dark world.

And I don't known if I'll ever find that.

And it's not like I don't want to believe, because I really do wish for a kind and loving creator. But based off of what is written in the Bible, and all of the things I've seen on this earth, how am I not supposed to assume the worst?

How am I not supposed to feel angry with my circumstances in life? It feels like it's all set against me, and I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.

I’ve been feeling the same way ski. The older I get the harder it is to keep faith.

I think it says a lot that the poorest countries are also the most religious.
