Not rice but let me say this as a horribly-unqualified-to-answer-but-still-wants-to-post-a-reply third-party observer
There are simply way too many problems with that
There is simply way too much bitterness over (perceived)historical injustices committed, irredentism, racism, current conflicts of interest etc. for such an idea to work in current political climate. This idea/ideology or whatever you call it is effectively a fringe fantasy that no relevant person in mainstream politics would take seriously.
Even if it were to happen; it would be in the form of other Asian countries submitting to economic powerhouse China, as China has no interest whatsoever in giving up power, ever. It would very undesirable and undemocratic for most of the parties.
Just look at how different Asian nations interact online. Japanese Korean and Chinese people insult and throw slurs at each other all the time. Due to aforementioned historical reasons they hate each others guts.
Culture, religions and religiosity(Buddhism, atheism, Islam, Christianity, etc.), general outlook to life and lifestyle etc. differs a lot between countries. Governments differ a lot too(Brunei and Thailand are monarchies, China and N. Korea are single party dictatorships, Japan and South Korea are democracies etc.). How would those fundamental differences be sorted out?
There is also very little motivation for such a movement, comperatively. EU had post ww2 mutual economic recovery and preventing further wars as its justification, AU is there in order to help economies of post-colonial developing countries etc.
PS: Don't take this wrong, but I am curious which Asian country are you from?
