I scored a 35 on the ACT. Near perfect score on the SAT. Won state piano competitions. Placed as a finalist in the State Geography bee in 8th grade, nearly went to Washington DC. All these competitions, I have been way above average, easily above the 99th percentile. I study Artificial Intelligence in college and Robotics and am doing well GPA-Wise. So why can’t I do the same thing with aesthetics?

As someone with many accolades (played instruments, Eagle Scout, etc.) most of it is completely worthless past college admissions (big name schools don’t matter anyways).

Employers don’t give a fuck that you won a spelling bee. They care if you’re qualified for the job. Shit like that only matters for some high-paying HR makework job they give to women, because anyone can do the job, so they need meaningless distinctions to seperate applicants. Really, it comes down to whether the HR women want to fuck you or (if you’re a woman) are jealous of you.

Honestly, it sucks getting all the way to the other end of the road and realizing all that awaits you on the other side is some $80k a year cubicle job. It’s not a bad gig, but you’re kidding yourself if you couldn’t get there with far less effort.

I did everything right my whole life, just like my parents told me. Once I hit my mid-20s, none of it mattered. The kid who beat me out for salutatorian works at Walmart, and the retard goof-off from my class joined the Air Force and is doing well now.

Work ethic is a terrible trait to have. Employers just take advantage of you. I knew a woman who busted her ass working for Starbucks for years. Imagine giving 100% every day for $15/hr.
