I can't finish Portal and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D.

Has anyone here played Resident Evil 5? I keep trying to clear 3-2 but it looks like I'm softlocked out of the level and I'm too lazy to restart.

Finished portal. Never played any Zelda games tho. A game i never finished was elden ring but it wasn't difficulty, it was losing my good armor to a crash that made me give up since I couldn't get it back

Elden ring because I tried to play but raged at how DOGSHIT the control are.

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts

What filtered you in OOT?

Super Mario Bros on NES. The entire game is easy until the end with obnoxious hammer bro spam. Even if you're stocked up on lives you're fucked if
they hit you because world 8 has a very scarce amount of power ups.

Ghosts and goblins or any retro game with respawning enemies. I'm sure I could beat them if I memorized the level layouts, but I don't have the patience.

Persona with how boring it is.

Metroid because the gameplay is dull

armored core 6 game has inconsistent with its difficulty sometimes its braindead easy sometimes its way too hard like fuck fromsoftware they would rather make a hard game than a fun game

I got to the Spirit Temple and I just had genuinely no idea how to proceed further. I could have used the Sheikah Stones since it was the 3DS remake but I feel like that is cheating and also that the game had nothing more to offer me.

These days the moment there is a bit of a roadblock with a game I drop it. I've only got one life and wasting precious time on feel bad vibes is pointless.

Any borderlands game

Space engineer

No idea what filtered means in that context

dark souls 1 & 2. ds3 was wonderful but 1 & 2 are super fucking dull and boring compared to 3 imo.

While I did 100% the game I agree. I was so close to being filtered during the balteus boss fight that I had to look up a cheese tank build(I played on release so idk if that's still viable) just because you have basically nothing unlocked that can do much to him at that point. The rest of the game, save for IB-01, was piss easy.

Reminds me that I still need to beat portal 2

chapter 1 fortnite

something that requires quick reflexes to succeed, any kind of souls slop is easy skip

I don't get this at all. Just use a guide, problem solved, no time wasted. (I'm old enough to remember when you had to use text-based guides for many games, but these days, you can find a walkthrough or longplay for countless games on Youtube. Certainly this one.) Do you feel like that is cheating, too? If so then you simply insist on beating every game without the use of a guide. I didn't say to constantly consult the guide for every puzzle in the game from beginning to end without challenging yourself at all, but if you're completely stuck, of course use it.

Shadow of the Ninja - Reborn

I played the NES version and enjoyed it so I was looking forward to the remake. It was fun but much harder than I thought. I quit at around stage 4.

The Warhammer Boltgun: Forges of Corruption expansion on medium.

It was on the tougher side for most of the game, but the last level was fucking bullshit. On the last level, you have to fight multiple waves of enemies. The problem is there's so much shit flying at you, the game spawns near infinite waves of TANKY enemies, and even though I MAIN FPS games and have played them for 20 YEARS, I could not do SHIT when the game starts spawning 50 tanky enemies and like 10+ bosses from the prior levels. I have even beat the original Far Cry (which has notorious hitscan enemies and the hiding mechanics are completely broken on newer PCs, making everything and everyone shoot at you from across the map) on medium WITHOUT cheats.

So I did what I have only done one other time to beat a game. I downloaded Cheat Engine, found a cheat table, and God Moded myself to beat it. I do not like games that are too challenging to the point where they make me want to punch my monitor. Haven't been there yet, though.

Looking back, I feel like I probably softlocked myself from taking health too fast (would use the healthpacks whenever I got to 50%-ish, but it shouldn't have been a problem to begin with tbh.
