they really set us up to fall. I understand wanting to give young boys a will to live by telling them girls are like this...

But ultimately aren't you just setting them up for a massive disappointment in their adolescence once they realize it's untrue?

Kids are much more likely to be suicidal as angsty teens if their hopes are dashed at that moment.

Seems better not to build those hopes up at all. To tell them before puberty how girls care about height/looks/status so that they are prepared when they encounter it in their adolescence and adulthood.

Probably the time when it matters to girls the least is when they are children - when they are idealistic so the only biases they have are inborn ones because they haven't been taught as many acquired biases.

That's still an overwhelming amount to detail with of course - but I think it could've been done if you married them early then.

Of course we are lied to about this - we are taught that it's only the child girls who judge men on height/looks/status and are shallow and that girls "mature" with age not to care about this.

It's the complete opposite though. As women age they lose their idealism because they never had their idealistic love and so instead of being an idealist they are just brutal and want height/muss/looks/status/wealth/etc at all cost with being jestery and flippant merely a side garnish to choose between two otherwise identical chads.
