Religion in my experiences for modern society is cope not just for truecels, but also normies. Normies use it as a way of coping when they bully incels and use them for their own self-benefit in the social heirarchy in order to maybe get better status, or achieve a stacy. They believe praying to a god that will cleanse them of all their sins is the answer to their solutions when in-fact they never once try to make amends with the individuals they almost made kill themselves. It depends on the religion and the position you take in it, for example in Christianity you could be as ascetic as possible and in the process you would stop needing women, or at least they would have less importance in your life and you would stop feeding the ego of these foids
