Since the dawn of man people have all had power hungry narcissism.
It's always taken precedence over being communal for the sake of togetherness.
People are more overly concerned with the power of their own personal position than the rationale of being generally loving, since it is the trashy majority of mankind which makes individual distinctions more apparent, than emphasizing eachother's sames.
Which made being nice, loving to others secondary to their own dominance and power.

People catch onto this all very quick. People realize inherently that they are deserving for greatness. People want to cram specialty into their lives.
The desire to be good, and loving, and faithful dies quick to narcissism when they see the general majority hard-wired to be narcissistic.
We're generally born innocent. But there's real incentive to be good, loving, communal for long when the world keeps biting at you.
Most people choose to be narcissistic instead of to give good to the general majority of the shitty human race.
Hence people say fuck it to being communal for the sake of friendliness, and give into what can tilt inevitable unfairness in a favorable position.
It's a fairy braided pipe dream to assume that humanity will be loving and kind over narcissism.
Narcissism is either the default, or the inevitable natural course destination.
We all want to feel the underlying revenge to spite humanity's hierarchical system that made us feel small... rather than to stick it out and be communal while the hierarchical judgment system is all around us. Judging our looks, money, status, superficial traits, power, etc. That each person is primally equipped with.
