You would have no memory of anything you did in your past life, and you wouldn’t even know you were reborn. It’s pretty much like a completely different person is being punished for what someone else did. Not only that but if you were born as a different species like an insect or something, that life would pass you by so fast and you’d have no awareness at all, you’d be dead before you knew it. It’d be slower if you were a mammal or reptile. But even then, it’s not like you have the intelligence to really know how shit you have it.

I think the biggest red flag is that we come into this world not knowing anything about what preceeded it before.

Kind of like they don't want us knowing what this place really is, or how to leave it.

How can you reincarnate into something which has completely different neurons and biological anatomy? Never made sense to me.
