Now that I am older I realise the way both my parents think is like living in some sort of fantasy land. I am constantly reminded of that daily with the wishes they have for me and my other subhuman siblings among other things.
When I was younger though I did not realise this, but even other people that knew my parents did.

My dad had purchased a business from another man, he knows now it was a bad idea but back then my dad thought it was a good deal but I think this guy sold it and knew my dad was kind of dumb to purchase it, immediately when he purchased it the employees did not respect the new owner (my dad) so much I think one of them immediately quit because of my dad. The business only did well for not even a year then it went downhill and became a source of stress for our family and my dad never had enough money to pay wages bills rent etc.
The rent actually went to the man he purchased the business from, one day I was sitting in the office in the business and I over heard the businessman talking to my father, my dad was trying to explain how he would pay the rent and the businessman said what I think now. That my dad was living in la la land with the fairies. When I heard this as a kid it felt disheartening since I thought my dad was perfect, he is still a great guy but it really is true what he sees through his 2 eyes just is not reality and I feel like it is one of the many pieces to the puzzle as to why I am who I am today and it is not for the better.

At least sometimes I reflect on memories like this when they pop into my head

Why didn't he choose the easy way out being a salary man or working for the state ? I mean real entrepreneurs need to be cynical merciless pieces of shit.

He used to be but he had experience in the business he purhcased, my dad is the complete opposite of cynical and merciless, not that the other man was the devil or anything, I think he just had his head screwed on more straight.

In a way I kind of wish I had a man like the businessman as my father, my father is knowledgeable but not wise to the current state of the world
