After playing most of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games and absolutely adoring them, I'll definitely check out the Metro series. @remincel keeps asking me to play the Dark Souls series so I think it's guaranteed I'll play it at this point. Won't play any Witcher games until I read the books. I'm a big fan of DOOM so you bet your sweet bippy I'll play the shit out of this and as for the Hitman games, I heard nothing but praise so I will try it out.

The OG Left4Dead games felt clunky to me. This new one just feels so good, add to that the ping I played at on Saturday was 75ms and man is it nice
Doom 2016. (Haven't played Eternal but it looks amazing)
Dark Souls series. (Dark Souls 3 is the most polished in my opinion if you just feel like playing one)
Hitman series. (Even the old titles like Blood Money are worth checking out)
Crusader Kings 2 and Hearts of Iron 4 if you don't mind playing strategy games. (Both allow you to play as Serbia)
Red Dead Redemption 2 if you want the most immersive game of all time.
Mount and Blade: Warband if you want to engage in massive medieval battles and don't mind the dated graphics.
Dragon Age: Origins if you want a good story-based RPG with a ton of choices. (Don't play the other two, they ruined the series)
Mass Effect series. (Ignore Andromeda for the same reason as above)
Haven't played it yet, but Yakuza 0 looks looks right up your alley.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. (The only Castlevania game where the jumping doesn't feel off)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. (Yes, really)
L.A Noire if you want a 1940s detective simulator.
Dishonored. (Great atmosphere and open-ended first person gameplay)
Batman: Arkham City.
Resident Evil series if you want survival horror.
