Recent special interest in horror games

I'm pretty big into psychological horror and survival horror. I don't like most bait and switch games because they're rarely done right but I like the ones that do. I'm not going to mention mascot horror, most of it sucks ass if not all of it
My favorite games right now are Cry of Fear, Silent Hill and Resident Evil Probably very basic choices but people like these games for a reason
The scariest horror game however, is and always will be real life.

i agree about the bait and switch stuff being mostly garbage. If you want real fear, it need to come from mood and story, not a cheap jump scare disguised as plot.

It was a bit delayed at the beginning, but after passing it, I was shocked for a couple more days.

miside is not a psychological horror, there is a plot just to be there. Of course, there are some interesting thoughts, but they are just to be there, more emphasis on screamers, probably. Omori doesn't have a single screamer, just a strong atmosphere, a heavy plot, and a great soundtrack.

Omori is such a pretentious "horror" game it's just a game for zoomer trannies. The "horror" is barely there and it's also not even that impressive. It's a cheap generic shock that is so easy and obvious to make.

Maybe but i really like this game. For me it is not default horror, rather, a tense atmosphere, constant attempts to figure out what happened
