Except most of your destiny and experience in it pretty much relies on the stats roll at the beginning of the game which cannot be changed.

And if you're like us, you rolled the shittest stats.

Also in MMORPG, there is always progression and some sort of reward for putting in effort. Therefore more effort = more reward.

Meanwhile in real life, you can spend 20 years working hard and you will get jack shit from doing so.
