About the Hunter Exam
The
hunter exam is one of the most difficult physical and mental challenges known to man, with only about
10 out of every 1,000 applicants earning the coveted Hunter status. Those who pass will gain access to exclusive benefits reserved for professional hunters.
- Annual Exam Location:
The hunter exam takes place near Washington, D.C. in early 2025. The exam is divided into several stages that test different attributes essential to becoming a successful hunter, including survival skills, mental toughness, and combat proficiency.
- The hunter exam is an all day event, and participants will be eliminated throughout the day after each phase.
- Exam phases:
- Phase 1 – Endurance:
The first phase is designed to test candidates’ mental resolve and athletic ability. Participants are pushed to their physical and psychological limits through a grueling endurance event. Success requires perseverance, as giving up guarantees failure in this demanding stage.
- Phase 2 – Deception:
In this phase, candidates are thrust into a social game designed to test their ability to deceive, manipulate, and outwit a group. The challenge requires participants to hide their true intentions, sow confusion, and gain the trust of others, all while attempting to expose or eliminate rivals who may be doing the same. Success in this phase is determined by a candidate’s skill in bluffing, misdirection, and persuasion, as well as their ability to read the intentions of others. This phase tests not only cunning but also emotional intelligence and adaptability in high-pressure social scenarios.
- Phase 3 – Labyrinth:
In this phase, candidates must navigate a complex maze filled with riddles, puzzles, and physical challenges at every turn. Teamwork is essential for success as each section of the labyrinth presents a different test of intelligence and problem-solving.
- Phase 4 – Capture the Flag:
In this phase, candidates engage in a high-stakes game of Capture the Flag, where each participant is both a hunter and the hunted. Every candidate is assigned a target to capture, while simultaneously being pursued by another competitor. The objective is to successfully capture your target’s flag while avoiding capture yourself. Victory is earned through a combination of tactical cunning and decisive action.
- Final Phase 5 – 1 on 1 combat:
In this phase, participants face off on a raised balance beam, where the objective is to knock the opponent off while maintaining their own balance. Armed with foam rods, competitors must outmaneuver and outwit their rival, carefully balancing offense and defense. Victory is claimed when one participant is knocked off or loses balance, signaling the end of the duel. With that final push, you secure your triumph—and with it, your permanent status as a Pro Hunter, standing among the elite few who have passed this ultimate test!
