I am a huge fan of history. I've been reading an Introduction to Contemporary Civilization in the West, I've been reading The Age of Voltaire, a History of Medieval Cities, Capitalism, the unknown Ideal, etc.
So often, a group of people that are shoved under the boot of oppression, forced to live in squalor with no recognition, end up becoming seen as the heros in later times. The Irish are now widely recognized as an oppressed class, the Palestinians are seeing global recognition, African Americans are seeing their history become glamorized by Netflix and Amazon Prime TV. Eventually I believe one day us Incels will be seen as an oppressed class.
This may seem hopeless, but the African American slaves felt the same way. I read a story, forget the title now, about how terrible it was for post-war blacks in Confederate States. Slavery was formally criminalized, but Neo-Confederates found a loophole to re-enslave the African community and make their lives hell. They passed very strict laws that punished minor crimes with lengthy prison sentences. The laws were almost exclusively weaponized against blacks. Blacks who committed "crimes" as minor as vagrancy, public drunkenness, or whistled at a white girl were arrested, convicted, and forced to spend DECADES in slave labor fields where they picked crops, plowed roads, or build railroads. It reminds me how laws today are selectively enforced against "creepy" men while giving toilets and Chads a free pass at everything. These black prisoners were not treated well, they were often beaten, starved, and forced to sleep on plywood with no sheets. Large corporate enterprises would rent out black prisoners and work them 16 hours a day for profit, undercutting white labourers, driving up State debts, and providing cheaper alternatives to industrialists. Politicians, bankers, and heavy industry got rich off this exploitative and inhumane system, a system that denied people their fundamental humanity.
Today, we all recognize this as evil, and Netflix gives black people their due every chance they get. Perhaps one day Incels will get the same treatment, we're just living in the wrong time.
