In 2003 there was a transformERs toy line called alternators ( known as Binaltech in Japan ). These toys prioritised the vehicle mode so they all had licensed real world vehicles with interiors and opening doors & hoods

Here are a few:

Windcharger ( Honda S2000 )

Prowl ( Honda Integra )

Tracks ( Corvette C5 )

The vehicles looks great but the robot modes can range from good to horrible.
