i own furniture right now like a wardrobe, chest of draws, a bed and a sofa, but they were all here in the flat when i moved in.
their not mine and i didn't pay for any of them.
when i arrived here via taxi on tuesday, all of my processions were what i brought with me in the taxi, more on that in a minute.
i hate furniture because when you buy it new, you need to assemble it yourself, which is a total pain in the ass.
if you buy it from charity shops, you don't have to, but you have to find a way to lug it from there back to your place.
furniture costs shit loads of cash and takes up space.
and when you don't want it anymore, you can't sell it off for cash anywhere unless its vintage.
you'll have to dump it off a public skip (if you can find one) or find a landfill somewhere.
and that means you'll have to pack it up into your car if you own one.
or you can just flytip like i have done in the past.
i keep all of my belongings like my clothes, accessories, games, consoles, wires and any other crap in a 80L hiking bag from millets.
i'll also look into getting a bigger suit case for any other of my stuff from primark when i feel like it too.
with that hiking bag and suitcase, i can carry anything in them anywhere, unlike furniture.
srsly, if you want to save money, i suggest you don't bother with furniture to store your stuff in and just put them in hiking bags or suitcases.
