i came up with this story back in like 2021, i used to care about it, but overtime, i stopped.
the story and setting was this.
it took place in a city in england in an unspecified future.
this city is full of towering skyscapers of glass and concrete that blot out the sun, and cast deep dark shadows on the people blow.
from afar, the city gleams like a diamond in the night sky, but up close and personal, its a hellhole where the worse of humanity come out to play.
fucked up freaks, violent maniacs, hungry, necrophiliac cannibals, dangerous serial killers and men who could now be considered monsters, lurk and linger on the streets at night.
this city does things to people, does... things to their heads, their minds, their souls.
if your not mental when you enter, you will be pretty soon.
sure, you can get a house, a good job and make a good living, but in the end, the darkness of this city and its mad inhabitants are always out and about.
stalking, lingering, thriving, surviving, eating, killing.
sometimes new victims, sometimes each other.... sometimes even themselves.
the MC of this story was a washed up, asshole bassist for a shitty rock band that was going nowhere.
he got kicked out of his band after getting fucked up by the drummer for fucking his mum.
he lives with his GF who has an actual job as a waitress and mostly providing for them both.
feeling useless, emasculated, and inferior, our MC desperately trys to look for work.
he comes across a job offer for an "actor" for an underground movie.
despite the lack of specifics and acting not being his thing, our MC accepts the job.
he then gets drugged and wakes up in a dark, abandoned region of town, he learns his movements are tracked by cameras.
he is instructed to kill some nearby people, which he does out of self defence.
our MC learns that hes taking part in a killing game and this is being livestreamed by the organizers so they can sell the footage as snuff films.
whats more, people watching this are betting money on him to come out on top, which he earns from his killings.
if our MC refuses to partake in the killing game, the organizers would report false accusations they created about him to the police.
and with a powerful court judge and members of the jury heavily bribed by them, our MC would spend the rest of his life in a harsh, brutal prison.
with no other choice, the MC must venture into the citys dark, decerped underbelly to fight other violent, unhinged players in the game.
not only to survive, but also earn enough money to sustain himself and his GF, but also buy his way out the killing game.
his GF also has this subplot where she tries to look for him because hes gone missing too.
so, yeah, thats the story.
i gave it the name: KILLING SPREE!, after the name of the game.
And yes, it pretty much rips off manhunt.
