extremely well made game the bosses might be extremely tricky and hard blind playthrough and later levels have some high difficulty spikes recommend playing DoDonPachi first since DaiOuJou is like the step up next level version to DoDonPachi.

What makes a good SHMUP vs what makes a bad one in your experience?

a good shmup needs to have a clear and fair bullet patterns, enemies must have low health, bosses provide a unique challenge, if everything applies it makes me wanna replay everyday and master it.

a bad one where the bullets are tiny and fast, some enemies have huge hp that takes too long to kill, slippery, fast, and clunky movement speed imo.

Yeah i quiet like it, it was pretty much fair and not too gimmicky. It may be too basic but mostly "unique" mechanics are a hit or miss for me and they need to be done well. Touhou 6 was the most Touhou game that has ever been Touhou. The music is fire too.
