I was pissed off some piece of shit western foid had the audacity to ask the Japanese professor why is she teaching us elements of Japanese in a linguistics class.

Then Sensei told her that linguistics is analyzing how all languages are formed, not just English, and Japanese is just one of the many languages we cover in this class.

It made me so angry that Sensei would be disrespected like that.

Then later my linguistics professor said in English you would say "Are you American" but the way the words "you" and "are" would be different in other languages such as Japanese.

I then raised my hand and said:

"Yes that is right. In Japanese you would say "Anata wa America-jin desu ka?" meaning Anata wa (you) America-jin (American) desu (are) ka (makes it a question)."

As I said this there were gasps in the class and a few students started laughing at me.

Then Sensei smiled at me and said that was "Perfect, completely right" and went over what I said.

Then the class went silent.

I use Pimsleur Japanese Audio CDs and soon will buy Japanese from Zero to learn how to read and write as well.
