I admit I can’t be arsed to pay the $3-6 fare for the subway in my city, so when I use it, I usually just piggyback off someone who’s already getting in through the gates. Causes no harm to their day, and if they realize, they usually don’t care.
Except today, this old 60 year old grandma was going through and I went behind her. She stopped, blocking me on purpose, and I bumped into her because she wouldn’t let me through. I mumbled sorry and fake fumbled through my wallet for a train card, pulled out my license, and started fake tapping my license at the gate.
She takes this time while I’m distracted to go through the gates, and immediately stops again, blocking me in case I was piggybacking again.
What her dumb senile ass didn’t realize is that by standing there and activating the weight sensor, the gates opened again, thinking someone was trying to exit out.
I seized the opportunity and got through the gates for free despite her best efforts to stop me from going through. Bitch should’ve minded her own business
