Would fuck tbh, but is that normal that the graphics look this bad?

The graphics contrast between the character and the actual game looks weird.
But she isn't bad looking at all.

It's current gen only, but runs in 4K@60FPS
I think it's just the art style and it being open world more than anything else

Looks pretty cool. Will probably pick up NFS Unbound in a couple months.

checker sweater is nice but the cargo pants are too zoomerish

I'm only playing because it's on Game Pass, so it's best to wait, yeah
NFS Heat for example is super cheap from resellers and it was free with Amazon Prime last summer I think

You had infinite possibilities yet just made a noodlewhore...

I don't think it matters really, but I prefer to have the physical disc. It serves as just a key to access the download, but whatever.
Do you play on a monitor or a TV? Purchasing a used Series X next month. Ideally I'd just go for an OLED TV, but they cost far too much. I've decided on a 2k 2.0 hdmi monitor as opposed to a 4k one - seems to be a good middle-ground.

PC monitor
Sadly Xbox only supports 1080p/120hz or 1440p/60hz output on my model, a common problem I think

The screenshots in the OP are 1440p, Xbox handles upscaling/downscaling pretty well
You should check if your panel supports the refresh syncs correctly like I mentioned

I play that too.

Do you find yourself longing for greater fidelity when viewing 2k material or is it more than adequate for your needs? Opinions online are rather dogmatic, with people swearing by 4k@60, 2k@144, etc. Navigating through the noise is annoying. I've played FH4 on the lowest settings on my 1080p 14" laptop screen - I was impressed by the visuals, kek. Playing in 2k on a 27" screen with a high refresh rate would probably blow my socks off.

 I've been playing close attention to that.

I'm rice + other presets were very ugly
The default one is a sheboon lul
Ah shit, I forgot NFS had presets. I remember making Ricky from trailer park boys when I started NFS heat.

Fair enough :feelsokman:

Cool, would bang.

I was a teenager in the 90s, so if I was playing this game my imaginary GF would have bootleg jeans, and one of those too-tight black t-shirts with something written across the boobs in very fine white lettering.

But I've kinda done car games now, so most of my imaginary GF avis tend to be High Elf battlemages or spell-swords...

It's fine but I think with time passing my expectations will inevitably rise.
I liked HD on my PS3 but nowadays it's really hard to go back.
It all depends on the game also. Some use better image quality techniques, others look messy even at high resolutions.

That's fair. 2 more questions

If you've played any Xbox games locked at 30fps, did you find them to be unplayable as the vocal (minority? majority?) crowd online often complains?

Do you find the current Xbox catalogue to be lacking? Forza Horizon is my main pull, with the other titles I wish to purchase being cross-console. Grew up with the PSP and played on the PS3 multiple times (GOW 3, Uncharted, etc). Modern day Ratchet and Clank looks awesome. I'll probably buy a PS5 later down the road.

Pure personal preference.
I can tolerate LOCKED 30 fps as opposed to jittery sub-30 fps experience.
Red Dead Redemption is a night and day experience on XSX vs PS3, even though both have a framecap of 30.

I'm happy with backwards compatible games and multiplatform releases, I don't really expect more.
If you didn't have an 360 back in the day and don't game on PC, it's a solid library.

"Tolerate" seems to be the common sentiment amongst XSX players. RDR2 was usually the focus of that discussion. Still undecided; need to experience it for myself.

I assume the latter was jittery, whereas the XSX was a more consistent 30fps experience?

Awesome. Backwards compatibility is a great feature.

"Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."
