Do you think it's inevitable that all the active users here will eventually end up in front of a judge?
By "all," I mean the few hundred truly active users.
It seems like a low-probability event, since no one really cares.

But the dice are cast constantly, and we remain in the draw until the end:feelscomfy:,
everything we've ever posted will stay here forever.

Sure, ome people are already being caught and prosecuted as examples, that’s already happening.
But what I’m thinking of is something broader and ultimately inevitable, a point where they would systematically label every user here as a "terrorism apologist," and your mere presence on this site would retroactively become a crime.
After 2, 3, or 10 ERs? Sooner or later, a government might want to stage a large-scale media stunt, either to distract from something else or simply to make an example out of an entire community.
In my country, "hate speech" is illegal, and depending on how it’s defined, even using terms like "foids" could already qualify, since they would argue it is as a 'dehumanizing term aimed at a group based on gender.'
I'm not trying to make anyone more stressed than they probably already are, but what I mean is that if things keep going in the same direction, all of this seems inevitable at some point.

nahh, users are scattered across so many countries, and I doubt law enforcement wouldn't just shut down this site. they could arrest a few users for show of force/intimidation, but more than that, why bother?

plus coupled with the fact quite a decent chunk of us use VPNs or perhaps even Tor to access .is

We may be big but not like a million or even hundred thousand scale of members.

Nah, they'd more than likely just shut down the site. Also, you gotta understand, plenty of "users" on here are feds / spies themselves. Everything is controlled here just like any other site.

Using a vpn changes something in this regard ?

Depends on the VPN and if they store logs but you're generally trying to post with a certain degree of anonymity because most if not all of us don't use our real names here.
