This is all based on my experience with my last job which was at a retail store there were some pooners who worked there.

Women can get an infection called bacterial vaginosis if the pH of the vagina is disrupted somehow leading to overgrowth of certain bacteria that produce an unpleasant "fishy" odor. While it is easily cured with prescription medication, 1 in 4 women have the condition and probably do not notice the smell after awhile.

Whenever one of the pooners used the men's restroom, it smelled like rotten fish for awhile, afterwards.
