In this day and age, even most people who are talented and intelligent fail to become wealthy despite their efforts due to factors such as:
1) Skill inflation.
2) Devaluation of degrees due to more and more people getting them.
3) A small number of megacorps crushing competitors
4) Increased competition
These days there are plenty of motivated, intelligent, savvy, and educated people who are stuck in middle class jobs who in a previous generation would have started a business and potentially been significantly more successful. But now with megacorp giants (that are far larger than any corporation was just a couple generations ago) to compete with, you're pretty much guaranteed to fail.
Not to mention, the increased competition has had a domino effect across the entire workforce. Now you have "entry level" jobs that pay minimum wage (or close to it) asking for bachelor's degrees and 3+ years of experience. It's pretty much become a meme now.
It's time to get your head out of the clouds and put your feet on the ground. That's pretty much the raison d'etre of the black pill.
