It should be regularized like in Medieval Times. Prostitution is whatever: it for sures lowers the value for sex as a whole so I don´t see an issue with that.
Exactly. It's needed to restore balance as the set of socio-sexual norms when it was prohibited/limited across the U.S are no longer in effect. The earlier generation of men who allowed its prohibition went along with it under the assumption that the largely conservative norms of the time would remain in effect. Clearly that hasn't been the case. Feminists straight up lie and say they are for legalization but they are ONLY willing to consider legalization from the perspective of "what's good for the prostitute" which is why they largely approve of the idea of allowing selling but not buying (nordic model).
The revealed preference of liberal/feminist women is that they don't want prostitution legalized out of self-interest. Their unwillingness to have compassion for the "Johns" -- overwhelmingly lonely men who could very well just whack off to hardcore pornography but want to experience
touch and
companionship they can't otherwise get (don't a lot of prostitutes report a large number of their clients just wanting to talk?) -- speaks volumes.
Normalizing prostitution is necessary to reduce the male thirst caused by the hoarding of female erotic capital by top men as a result of the decline of monogamy and marriage. If we can no longer shame women for sleeping around then legalizing and normalizing prostitution is necessary to correct the imbalance caused by females willing to share attractive men. It's not fair that "single" for a young woman can still mean "I nonetheless easily get my hetero physical intimacy needs met!" in a way it isn't for single men. This fact causes
social inequality. If women have been released from the burden of monogamy then it's absolutely bonkers to keep prostitution prohibited, a fact made clear by the very language used to keep the activity illegal which basically paints women as child-like and lacking the neurons to decide whether or not they should get dicked for money.
It's true that social conservatives and Christians don't want prostitution to be legalized, and I understand. But those folk also didn't want gay marriage to happen and they lost that big time. So yea, why aren't Democrats going all out about
sexual liberty when it comes to buying sex? Cause their female voters don't want it.
Either we place limitations on the sexuality of both sexes --i.e the traditional conservative arrangement (keeping in mind that controlling female sexuality = controlling male sexuality by proxy) or it should be sexual liberty for all. Once you see the limitations of prostitution as a
limitation of your sexuality -- and you then consider the present Tinder culture -- you can't help but get a little angry about the matter as a human-rights issue.
