Why is being afraid of men seen as such an understandable sentiment for women to have whereas harboring the same fear for people of another race is considered racist?
If a woman is walking down the sidewalk at night and she crosses the road to avoid the man at the other end because he's a man then that's her being justifiably cautious about her safety. But if her motive for avoiding the man is instead because he's black then she's now considered racist (and rightfully so).
Its this simple: Being afraid of a stranger on the basis of them being a man is just misandry. No question about it.
Having an irrational fear that every man is out to r@pe you is unrealistic and unhealthy and I'd advise women with such prejudices to immediately seek some form of therapy for their bigotry.
