Today at work I had to take keys from some sort of janitory service that uses keys.
The door of the office was open so I entered, and I saw a black guy here who looked very busy behind his desk (by very busy, I mean busy in a way that you don't think interrupting him in his task is doing him any favor). He wasn't, but I would understand it later ...
So I just politely waited here that he had ended his complicated activity to ask for the keys. But, it tooks minutes, and minutes ... At a moment, as I also had other things to do at work today obviously, I said "Excuse me, ..." and there he interrupted abruptly me to say "you didn't say hello so I won't tell you anything, I did see you enter, but you didn't say hello, so I'm not going to talk to you, etc" with a condescending infantilizing tone.
Man, this guy is just here to flip paper and his unefficient service was supposed to give mine those keys days ago, and he acts like he's some kind of nobility. The thing is I wasn't even rude.
I'm not even racist but I must say that it never happened when the guy behind the desk was white. I mean, in this situation, l would wait, he would then make it clear in his attitude he has a bit of time for me, then I could say "hello, ..." and get to the point. This is the efficient way, and it just basically works usually. I read that people who like to overcomplicate situations out of nothing are often lower IQ. But still, I don't understand his retarded attitude and want to find a plausible explication.
