Maybe it's just me or maybe you experienced this too? Here goes: I guess as incels/outcasts we see through the bullshit of the world since we are young (even before discovering the term incel). So the world loses its "spark", its "magic" that makes normies interested in thing, in anything really. I guess this whole thread could be summarized in the word depression but I only realized it while I was typing cause that's the reason why everything seems pointless and boring.

So you aren't interested in anything, everything seems pointless and not worth doing. So you don't really learn anything. Not only that, over time all this depression and nihilism just narrows down your world, your imagination. Even if you want to learn something and be interested in something you just can't, your mind is numb and hazy.

I guess this doesn't apply to STEMcells as much. But if you're a retard like me who chose degrees without math, then you really don't learn anything, it's all a bunch of bullshit you regurgitate for tests and assignments and then you forget that shit right away cause it's just such useless bullshit. But other than what you learn for your degree, even STEMcels might suffer from this too. People go about their life and learn random stuff, but guys like me are just depressed and stuck in a rut, mind numb and hazy, the years just flying by and the days blending in.

No, I've learned a lot.

somewhat relatable. I've hardly done shit since 2015, when I graduated high school. Took accounting for 1 year, failed it, went to study in Turkey for 1 year, came back to Canada, studied Police Foundations in college for 1.5 years, and the rest I've just been working a NEET-tier security guard job

Not only didn't learn anything, but I pretty much forgot anything from my CS degree.

I haven’t learned shit besides blackpill stuff these past few years

I've only learned about the blackpill a few years ago even though I knew how females were for well over a decade now, so that's false. The next is I'm still learning a lot that involves my hobbies as well and learning how fucked up both sides of politics were as I never heard of or had politices shoved in my face like it has since 2016.

So no, I have learned a lot.

jfl I feel you bro, I can't really put myself into learning something, especially when it's something that definitely doesn't catch my interest, like my degree

Have been doing nothing since I got into college and I swear to god I don't thing I know a damn thing, at least I can't recall shit. My academic life is pretty much being extremely mediocre, putting just enough effort to not flunk, sometimes not even that.

I guess my brain just knows how pointless it is anyways

Ohh yea, it's like my brain can't store shit, all the information evaporated.

Sorry to hear that. And this is supposed to be the prime of our lives, when we are supposed to enjoy life most and also invest as much possible effort into our future. All downhill from here too.

If you don't have brain damage or a neurological problem of any sort then that's pretty much impossible.

I agree. For the last 6-7 years since 16 I’ve been stagnant as a human being. That changed recently though. I’ve started to progress and learn more

Learning anything at school that you won’t do for your job is extremely pointless. GPA system forces you to try at things you won’t even need to know

I learned a lot of things, though none of it is useful in my eyes. At least most of it.

tbh.

I have learned nothing in my 4 years in college.

Public school system is extremely compromised too.

The education system in the states do not PREPARE you for anything, and they tell you to go to college where you still DONT learn anything and get in debt and the professors are liberal ass clowns bought and sold for by political machines.

Am a stemcel and I still feel your text. A few years ago I was extremely enthusiastic about learning stuff but nowadays I don't really care. I am not dropping out (yet), because I don't want to starve/live with my parents, but I only learn something when I am forced to do so with no true interest besides mere survival. Without an outer force/pressure I do nothing, my curiosity is dead. The only thing I do when I don't have to work (besides watching porn) is watching true crime and nazi documentaries or sleeping. I haven't read a book in ages and the Internet fucked my attention span. Prior to studying I had an interest in animals, but that interest died because the recent developments (e.g. systematics/nomenclature/methods) are too fast for me and I cannot keep up with them. I am mentally dead.

This. College in America is hell. In Europe it isn't much better, but at least you don't have to pay for that.

your words are mine

I have learned and discovered tons of lies about this world

What is even the point of CS degrees when you can learn all of it and more online?

My ideal life would be living in the mountains as a NEET with a large collection of interesting books, nowadays at uni I cannot be bothered to do the course properly and just go to the library to read old books from the early 20th century.

School is basically just one long IQ test, it is very pointless as you end up forgetting most of it, would rather just have worked as a child labourer tbh, at least I might have developed some good muscle mass that way.

Including dropping out after 2 years and now after getting my master's degree I will have had 7 years in total in university. Didn't learn one god damn thing, not one. Double whammy cause the degrees are fucking useless, not only cause I got them in this 3rd world shithole, but the fields I chose were particularly useless.

I'm sorry to hear that man. Gotta stick with that degree though, especially since you're American. Even if you were in Europe I'd say sticking with it is necessary since you don't want to end up with the same prospects as me, looking at a life of slaving at shit jobs for peanuts with no chance at improvement. At least if you graduate with STEM you will have some opportunities. But since you're American it's not even a discussion, gotta pay those loans.

Yeah. my degreee is useless as well. The fact that they make you pay for these shit programs or the fact that they have them as an option at all despite being utterly worthless should be considered a crime. If I even graduate on time, Im gonna have to pursue a masters and go deeper in this shammy shithole if I want a non-McDonalds job. This shit is on part with a Pyramid scheme. :feelscry::feelscry:

I don't think school is an IQ test at all, you hardly have to be smart to get good grades. I'd say it's a test of discipline, obedience, resistance to burn out. Basically being a good little slave.

Discipline and time management definitely come into it, but I remember there were some kids who just couldn't understand certain concepts despite tryharding at school. There was this kid who couldn't re-arrange equations in physics.

Bingo, some fields are exactly like pyramid schemes. They bury you in debt and the only way to get out of it is sinking deeper into the crevasse, investing even more money, effort and years. Just to barely have a chance to get somewhere if you're the type to network a lot and have connections.

That's more like an IQ floor. If you're above that floor it's enough, if you're below then you're filtered. But having more than the IQ of that floor won't help much though, it's mostly about grinding.

getting past the resume barrier and getting an interview

Nah shit theory, I'm incel not a fucking retard. I try to learn something everyday, my intelligence is the only thing that mogs Chads tbh

School has very little to do with IQ/intelligence. It's most of the time just learning things by hard. Only some people who have intelligence problems (like learning disabilities) fail due to something that is not discipline. But sometimes it gets better in university with understanding certain stuff - for example: Was always extremely bad in math and excelled in math in uni.

Extremely unlucky tbh. Some things just cannot be helped, intelligence is a mostly predetermined trait: Some things just cannot be changed despite trying to do so, you either have it or you don't have it. I know some people who still struggle with chemical/molar calculations despite learning it for years, geometry/physics for example was something I never understood. No matter how hard I tried, I always failed. Learned for months and still got a D at my final exams in school - and I was glad about it. Also programming is something I don't really understand (except the super basal stuff).

Some things are easy, some things aren't easy. It always depends on the person. Some persons can be helped when they struggle, but others will never get a certain subject (from my experience with teaching others and being taught stuff by others). The subject can be extremely easy for some, but for others it is hell on earth and basically torture. Everyone has a certain subject he struggles with and in some cases the struggle is permanent.

Thank you for the nice words man. I am European, but have very strict parents. Failure is not an option in my current life situation.

You said it perfectly.

Not at all, we should be able to take pride in the things we mog normies with. Unfortunately I get mogged to oblivion in every conceivable department, I'm a fucking lazy retard.

That's brutal if true, but I'm sure you're more intelligent than you think

No, you can't unless we are talking strictly programming. Everything else is laid out for much easier learning at uni.

99% of the time I think I'm a retard but sometimes I think that I'm a lazy and depressed genius who simply didn't try at anything.

I believe most of us have the potential to be a genius, it all comes down effort level and having a genuine interest in something. Its a good coping mechanism tbh.

I've literally tried for months if not years to find an interest, anything at all. I went through literal lists of activities or hobbies or skills. Anything that I could be interested in. Nothing works, my brain is so broken by the more than a decade of depression that I literally can't find anything interesting, everything seems pointless or boring.

Very legit. I don't have the motivation to learn or do anything.

Disagree I’m way more knowledgeable than normies thanks to years of rotting. I have no social skills as a consequence, though.

I know what you mean bro depression definitely kills motivation, it's a hard cycle to break. I personally found you've got to stick at something even if you think it's boring - otherwise it's like a self fulfilling prophecy and you end up rotting.
