Just had mine pointed out to me. I didn't even realize I had one. I thought it was just resting bastard face. Upon further review, however, resting bastard face doesn't make much sense. The result is the same either way, so it doesn't really matter.

Before, I reacted when someone tried to cause me some kind of unmotivated suffering. Now I see that this is absolutely normal, that hatred will come sooner or later and the only thing that is strange is when someone shows some kindness and care to me.

If you image search "thousand-yard stare", most of the examples you find will be battle-weary soldiers. I never suspected myself of having it since I never thought my life was harsh enough to warrant it, but evidently, the shoe fits.
