Hey,
So I've been wondering if anyone knows of an experiment where an actual ugly person underwent plastic surgery that became life changing. What do we mean by lifechanging? This person before surgery was a virgin who's never had a gf, but was able to get one after surgery. Maybe if there isn't such an experiment then it's an idea for those that want to prove/disapprove the theory?
Excluding those who do it to fix medical deformities, it's a common belief that plastic surgery is useful for average or already attractive people to improve their aesthetics. If you're ugly then plastic surgery won't make much of a difference.
So here's the experiment idea:
The experiments need to be as fair as possible, ideally with interesting/eye catching bio's.
1. Get an ugly person's before and after plastic surgery picture. Do a tinder experiment with the before to see if they get any matches, potentially try a few different countries. The moment they get a legitimate match (that isn't a bot, or a mistake), then the experiment is over and another test case should be found. The goal here is to simply prove that this person has never and can't get any female attention for an attraction perspective.
2. Get the person's after surgery pictures, and see if they get any matches. If they get any matches, the experiment is a success, if not then it proves that we're still not at a time where plastic surgery can make a difference to those physically unattractive.
This type of experiment could give hope to those who are genuinely ugly. If I'm honest I don't believe surgery can make a difference in our current time, but will one day be advanced enough to turn a really unattractive person, to being attractive enough to get real female attention.
