Experiment Percentage of who belongs to which rank?

I was reading the legend for the rankings on this site and was wondering if we could ever get a pie chart or some data for what percentage of people belong to each rank on this forum.

What do the number of stars underneath a person’s username mean? Is it an indicator of how close they are to reaching the next rank?

Yes. You get them for certain post milestones. As a greycel you get one at 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400.
