Media People keep saying that Adolescence is a documentary?

I keep hearing that about it.

I'm wondering if at least in some countries like the UK we're moving into an era where truth is what the government says.

So in the case of Adolescence, it seems to be a crime drama TV show, which is mostly fictional but loosely based on the murder of Elianne Andam.

But the government says it's a documentary, and therefore it seems like the population should also say it's a documentary.

Yeah it's pretty woke, like most things that Netflix makes.

Apparently each episode was shot in a continuous take which is interesting but I don't know if it was done for a good reason or just "because".

I watched a movie years back called Russian Ark that was all shot in one take and that was pretty cool

I can't watch modern TV shows in general. They're all so bad. That's not to say classic TV shows were good. Most of them contained propaganda even if more subtle.
