NT normies often misunderstand me because they add stuff to what I said.

Some of them have even gotten angry at me because they themselves have added stuff to my story and then gotten angry about the stuff they added.

How does the mind of these people work? Just take what you hear as it is unless otherwise specified

Sometimes I do that when someone is struggling to think of the right word if they're not English. Sometimes I do it when they're telling a story or something and I want to express interest. For example, they say they're telling a story about when they got in a fight, and they get to an argument and I'll say something like, "and then you beat the shit out of him?" And he'll have interest shown and will also go into more detail about the thing I asked about. It still leaves it open to me being wrong though, which is fine too because he can say like "No, no, no, then we went outside and he took a swing so I ducked..."
