Seriously. I don't ask for much in life, I don't really need it tbh. I believe that anyone should be able to afford a living (small house, car, family, basic necessities, food) with any job, but we know how well that turns out in this day and age. I'd be content with just a small apartment and food, but look at how much that costs literally anywhere. The minimum wage in the UK is £8.72 (which is $10.32. I legit feel so sorry for Americans where it's $7.25, I don't think Americans have any idea how fucking bad that is). At the UK rate, working full time equates to earning £1227 a month. Imagine if you could work for half of that (as we all know, jobs are fucking impossible to get anymore anyway, and wanting to negotiate a different contract? Just fucking lol. But yeah, that'd be £613... Which is about as much as a pretty shitty apartment outside of the city costs. Just fucking lol.
