Some of it is genuine, though. They live in the past. Back then, an ugly but not completely hideous man could get a gf, wife family etc.

When I was a kid everyone thought and told me that I would be successful in life (regarding everything).
I'm below or extremely average at basically everything and the cherry on top of it is that now my brain is also damaged beyond repair (literally). The joke of this is that not only my genes weren't good in the first place, but the environment I grew up also failed me.

I dont think my parents have ever mentioned dating or attractiveness to me.
