I'm about to get a job and want to splurge on a new smartphone. All of the smartphones that I've owned have been on the cheap side, so now I want to treat myself with something lower mid-range.

I know next to nothing about smartphones, but from what I can gather the G7 is a good option. 4 gigs of ram, a decent enough processor, 64 gigs storage, decent camera, fingerprint scanner which is just cool , full HD display, and a cool design. The G7 Power is ~$50 bucks cheaper because it has a shittier camera and lower res display, but has a 5000 mah battery, almost double the G7's. Apparently, Motorola phones are known to last a long time, so both of these are really attractive.

Any suggestions? Anything over $250-$300 would be too expensive for me (unless it's really worth it).

You could consider an older but still higher end phone, like a Samsung S7 which I've seen on Amazon for around £150 (idk, 185 dollars or so) and it's pretty good

Do not get a phone with a sub-1080p display tbh boyo. Redmi K20 would be my pick in your budget, Redmi 6 Pro if you want something cheap but still good, Pocophone F1 if you want high-end components but it has a plastic shell so there's a downside there.
Tbh it's a terrible moment to pick up a smartphone, Apple has made it okay to sell shit in very high price range and popularized the notch, which is possibly the worst gimmick to ever plague the scene.

I got a nice big lg for 50.$ Its actually better than my old 300$ Samsung.

But the camera and sound chip isn't as good. Same processor.
