Overpopulation is a serious problem not just for the world itself and nature but for us too!

Everytime a new human comes to the pool your value decreases.

When I was at a social event with tens of thousands of people I was once more reminded how irrelevant I am.

Since start of January 6 million humans have come to the Pool (subtracted the deaths already) this is the population if denmark.

Gen Z is literally fucked. Especially as a men. The early 21th century was a once in a lifetime opportunity time - but thats over now and lots of Gen Z like me couldn't or simply did not use the time correctly.

I think now in 2025 its just all over if you havent figured shit out yet.

They always say "thousands of jobs are not taken" Yeah....because those "Jobs" arent really Jobs they are just a slavery position.

There is NOTHING coming out of this bullshit.

We have AI and upcoming ASI and robots and Super factories.

AND on top of that each second 2 more humans somewhere on the planet are added.

As a laborer, you are finished. At least for Boomers and Gen X there were the golden ages.

Its just done. Everything.

Also the amount of skills you need. As a Gen Z its guaranteed you never learn out.

You are continously trained. Even now at my job after a Bachelors, I am trained. I need to still take part in exams and they test me all the time here.

I am mentally destroyed and people still bash on me to "improve my quality".

There is something called "Human Resource Management" auditors that always look over you and try to improve the comanpy and if they think you can be replaced they tell the Management and the Management tells you and they tell me eventually.

Its only a matter of time until I loose my real first job. I dont like that job. I know lay offs will come because this sector has no open places. I am the only Gen Z in this entire company that I know of. Theres just a couple people in my sector but here I am on my own.

Those 30+ years experience boomers aint gonna be laid off. Because they got the connections.

I dont. For me its over. No friends, nothing.

I think I need to apply for another job just so I can maybe find higher and secure place. They will get rid of me at that place. The olf witches cant stand me already.

I calculated with ChatGPT in order to ever like AFFORD something I need a 100€ per hour AFTER taxes job. So someone would need to pay me 180€/h.

This is what a doctor makes or a lawyer. Or someone in a high paying IT job like a senior computer Scientist or a manager in a decent coorp.

It aint gonna happen...

Meanwhile I see sluts on Onlyfans and Insta pull in millions of dollars or some clown making an SPY 0dte call and hitting 700k over night. Like we had on monday.

Overpopulation isn't real. Overpopulation is what the bourgeoisie wants you to think so they can implement their Malthusian ideas and keep all the resources to themselves.

Overpopulation is only a small part of the problem. It's true that there are some things on this planet that are finite like land and natural resources, and the higher the human to finite resource ratio is, the more expensive some things are going to be and this has downstream effects on a lot of things.

That said, even in small, low population towns in america the job market is awful. In fact in most small isolated towns the economy is WORSE and people are leaving these towns to go to the cities because there are no jobs where they're from. I know people who moved to my city from a small town, and when I ask them why they moved here, it's always "there are no jobs back home".

There's a lot of other reasons why the job market is such shit and will never be like the golden era boomers and older members of gen X (that OP is talking about) benefited from:

• Manufacturing jobs so many boomers spent their lives working have been outsourced to china.
• Many customer service jobs have been outsourced to India and other third world countries.
• Amazon and online shopping in general killed off a lot of businesses.
• The job market never fully recovered from the 2008 recession in terms of the labor participation rate.
• Too many zoomers and millennials have degrees and there's not enough demand in the economy for all of them. This also means a lot of employers can now require a degree for jobs that only required a high school diploma 15 years ago. I see so many job listings that pay 30-35k a year that require a 4 year degree. It's like there's an arms race where workers try to be the most qualified in terms of skills, education and certifications, which causes employers to keep raising the bar when it comes to standards, but lowering pay.
• Zoomers are hyper-introverted homebodies, which has killed a lot of industries. Malls, bars and clubs being the most obvious example. There were 3 malls within 15 miles of where I grew up. 2 of them closed down, and the one that's still open is on it's last legs. There were 4 clubs I used to go to regularly in the mid to late 2000s back when I was cold approaching women. All 4 of them closed. This isn't specific to where I grew up, this happened across America.
• Covid was the last nail in the coffin for a lot of businesses.
• Competition from H1B for tech workers
• AI is now replacing some low level white collar workers

We have AI and upcoming ASI and robots and Super factories.

Well once we have ASI none of this will matter. Either we'll have a post-labor economy where pretty much everything (except the few jobs humans won't trust AI to have) will be automated and we'll have UBI... or @OutcompetedByRoomba is right and it will just kill us all.
