I don't understand why you called Lithuania a "separatist part of Russia" Lithuania (while having some ties to Russia) has a very distinct culture, originating from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, one of the most economically powerful nations in European history. It also has very close ties to Poland, and even unified with them in 1569, forming the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which was the most powerful state in Eastern Europe, and even took part in the colonization of the Americas. Lithuania only became associated with Russia in 1795, and even then it still fought hard to keep its cultural identity. After years of Russian occupation, Lithuania became independent in 1991, following the fall of the Soviet Union. Lithuania has since then allied itself with the western world, and joined the European Union in 2004. This has led to Lithuania adopting some westernized political views including views on women's equality; which is why that statistic exists.
