An option you should consider.
religion is just a cope
Are you from Greece btw?I spent a good chunk of my college Saturdays working at my Orthodox Church soup kitchen. Even the “homeless people” felt they were above me and often they treated me like shit. They gave me sour looks all the time.
Orthodoxy is more death culty than other sects of Christians. I spit on Mt. Athos and the gay monks who live there.

No, America. I used religion as a crutch, jumping from denomination to denomination until I went extreme mode in Orthodoxy. When college passed me by pretty unceremoniously, I burned out, although Nietzsche really injected my blood with venom during that time because he really pointed out how much of a dumb coping system it is.Are you from Greece btw?
Monasteries used to be proto-Universities - accumulators of knowledge.
Now some truecel working at research institute leads probably more monkish life than monks themselves.
However, Orthodox priests can marry and have sex and children. While Catholic priests forced to stay celibate which leads them either to be a fanatics or perverts. No, America. Once you internalize Nietzsche, you realize that the reason why Christianity has continued for so long is that most people have fun, sex, getting drunk, etc. when they are young, and that’s the pinnacle of their existence, and they get old and are unable to do it, so like children, they throw mental temper tantrums over that fact, they cope and delude themselves that they are now “above that” and “lived a life a sin” and have moved onto “better things”, even though it comes from a place of resentment and anger over their lost youth. Many religious people are genuinely weirded out when they find out you were really religious when you are younger, because they secretly hate the fact they are religious.
Nobody actually wants to be ascetic for asceticism’s sake. They do it, largely. because it’s a cope for the fact that they are unable to act out their desires.
Orthodoxy is the worst because of its focus on asceticism. At least Catholicism, Mainstream European Protestantism, etc. recognized to a larger degree the importance of social non-monastic roles in life and glorified the royal nobility. Orthodoxy almost demonizes those roles and sets the monks as the highest state in life.
The problem is slave morality. No Christian can actually overcome this criticism. However, Orthodox priests can marry and have sex and children. While Catholic priests forced to stay celibate which leads them either to be a fanatics or perverts.
Personally, I can recognize cultural importance of Orthodoxy but many aspects of faith and Church life are cringe.
Too much focusing on asceticism as you pointed. Too much relying on authority.
Glorifying hardship in life even without thinking that too much hardship and negativity can wreck someone's soul.
I once have seen the book where some author ( female ) even glorified slave work of Stalin's gulag inmates!
Also Christianity and especially Orthodoxy focuses on importance of afterlife but Christian females still denounce you for not being 'man enough' and are attracted to Chads and thugs like 'worldly' females.
Even if Christianity never glorified overly manly men ( hero's worship is a pagan thing ) and wanted to create a 'new man' in Christ free of the flesh and blood influence.
Of course they failed to change human ( and especially ) female nature.

For me the weakest side of Christianity is a practical side. For example, if you have a wife which Christianity didn't oppose and even see this as a right way instead of adultery, masturbation and escortmaxxing, how you are going to have sex with her without lust? The problem is slave morality. No Christian can actually overcome this criticism.
Christianity promises you “spiritual wealth”, “spiritual love”, and “spiritual beauty” - it leaves those things undefined, but it appeals to the inherent goodness of the carnal thing. “Love”, “beauty”, “wealth”.
But then Christianity says the way to obtain these things is to villify the carnal things. Wealth leads to greed, love leads to lust, beauty leads to vanity.
But this is nonsense, because it makes no sense why these things are bad if the goal of salvation is a promise of these things at some level.
In fact, words like “greed”, “lust”, and “vanity” are undefinable qualities that simply mean an evil version of those good things - wealth, love, and beauty - and they are often subjective from person to person. “Lust” may be sleeping with 40 people for one person, it may be jerking off to another person. “Greed” may be owning a mansion for one person, it may be not being a monk and owning any private proper for another person”.
The Church rooted those moral conceptions centuries ago to social norms that no longer apply, so it is truly 100% subjective.
Villifying qualities like lust, greed, and vanity this tend to be used as a coping mechanism to shun the haves for being a have not.
Once you realize these things and internalize them, you’ll see Christianity is just a death cult at its core.
Even if it produced many great things in terms of positively influencing European mythology with its Jewish roots, creating philosophy, and many great cathedrals, and influencing many great figures, the problem is that the New Testament at its core is poisonous to the soul.

Yea you have good points but still you haven t experienced the real grace filled life of a orhodox monk. The problem is slave morality. No Christian can actually overcome this criticism.

High iqThere are hardly any single women at churches, and their standards aren't any lower than the average woman. Don't bother.
Have you seen how Orthodox monks die? They spend most of their life living a constant agonizing state of self-pity and self-aggrandizement, “Lord, I’m such a poor poor sinner, I am not worthy to enter into Heaven”, and that is how they are at death. They spend every day trying not to touch their dicks and resist natural animalistic urges. And all that anger and all that frustration that is pent up manifests itself in vitriolic, angry moral and political rhetoric where they shame people that disagree with them in frustration, sometimes devolving to mentally outlandish conspiracies like Satan talking directly to Jewish bankers.Yea you have good points but still you haven t experienced the real grace filled life of a orhodox monk.
